The Centre for Research and Governance on Cyber Law (CRGCL) is an academic and policy research forum dedicated to advancing scholarship, governance, and public engagement in cyber law, digital rights, and data governance. It serves as a collaborative platform for students, researchers, and professionals to explore issues such as data protection, AI regulation, cybersecurity, and online privacy.

Vision:
To become a premier academic and policy research centre that promotes critical thought, cutting-edge research, and inclusive dialogue on cyber law and governance in India — strengthening institutions, justice access, and innovation.

Mission:
CRGCL’s mission is to promote interdisciplinary research on cyber legal challenges and empower stakeholders through training, publications, and public education aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4, SDG 9, and SDG 16).

CRGCL functions across five key areas:

  1. Research & Publication – Producing original, policy-relevant research and commentary.

  2. Academic Engagement – Organizing webinars, conferences, and dialogues.

  3. Policy Dialogue – Advising and collaborating with government and regulatory institutions.

  4. Capacity Building – Conducting workshops, certificate courses, and mentorship programs.

  5. Public-Facing Initiatives – Publishing explainers, infographics, and awareness content to empower citizens in digital governance.

CRGCL welcomes partnerships with:

  • Academics and researchers in law, policy, and technology

  • Government bodies and regulatory agencies

  • Legal practitioners and consultants

  • Technology companies and digital rights organizations

  • Students and early-career researchers seeking mentorship or collaboration opportunities

Collaborations can include joint research, policy papers, workshops, and training programs.

Contributors can submit research articles, policy briefs, explainers, and case comments following CRGCL’s Contributor & Submission Guidelines. Submissions must be:

  • Original and unpublished

  • Formatted as per academic standards.

  • Sent via email to info@crgcl.com with the subject “CRGCL Submission – [Article Title]”

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process before publication.
