Surbhi Agrawal is an academician and legal researcher specialising in Intellectual Property Law, Artificial Intelligence, Copyright Law, and digital governance. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Pt. Kishorilal Shukla Vidhi Mahavidyalaya, Rajnandgaon, and is pursuing her Ph.D. in Law with a research focus on AI and Copyright Law.

She holds an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Rights and has over three years of teaching and research experience.

She has worked as an Assistant Professor at Kalinga University, Raipur. Her academic interests lie at the intersection of technology, cyber law, digital copyright, and emerging regulatory and policy frameworks, with a focus on responsible and inclusive governance of digital technologies.

Ms. Agrawal has authored and co-authored research papers published in national and international journals, contributed chapters to edited volumes, and served as Co-Editor of a book on Plant Variety Protection and Farmers’ Rights. She has been a resource person and guest speaker at national webinars and seminars on themes such as AI in IPR, copyright protection in the digital era, live-in relationships, and technology-driven legal reforms.

She is a certified PoSH Trainer and has actively contributed to legal awareness and capacity-building initiatives beyond academia. Her expertise has also been recognised through invitations to Doordarshan Chhattisgarh as a legal expert for the programme “Hum Aap aur Kanoon”, and through lectures delivered to police and administrative authorities on developments in criminal and technology laws.

In addition to teaching and research, she has served as a judge for national-level legal competitions, coordinated moot court activities, convened national academic events, and remains actively engaged in mentoring students and fostering research-oriented legal education.
