About CRGCL

The Centre for Research and Governance on Cyber Law (CRGCL) is an independent academic forum established by a group of legal scholars, cybersecurity researchers, and technology policy thinkers, with the shared purpose of building one of India’s most rigorous and independent platforms for cyber law research and governance.

At a time when India’s digital economy is expanding faster than its legal frameworks can keep pace with, CRGCL exists to bridge the gap among law, technology, and public policy, producing research that informs legislation, guides compliance, and advances citizens’ rights in the digital age. The Centre’s work is rooted in India’s constitutional values and anchored in global frameworks, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).
