Our Founding Vision
The Centre for Research and Governance on Cyber Law (CRGCL) was founded by a group of passionate legal scholars and researchers with a shared vision — to create a platform that bridges law, technology, and governance. Conceived as an academic and policy-driven initiative, CRGCL seeks to foster research and informed dialogue on emerging cyber legal issues shaping India’s digital transformation.
Our Mission
At CRGCL, our mission is to promote interdisciplinary research and public understanding of cyber law, digital rights, and technology regulation. We aim to inform policy, empower students and scholars, and advance thought leadership that contributes to a secure, inclusive, and innovation-friendly digital ecosystem.

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, the gap between law and technology is widening, resulting in regulatory uncertainty, rights violations, and institutional lag. Our work is grounded in India’s constitutional values and informed by global frameworks, such as the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 16 (justice and institutional development) and SDG 9 (legal frameworks for innovation).
