Dr. Ashok P. Wadje, a founding Teaching Faculty of Maharashtra National Law University Aurangabad (Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar), is currently working as Associate Professor of Law (on Regular Pay Scale) and Associate Dean in the University. He is also the Proctor of the University. He was also an acting Registrar of the Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad. He is also part of various Councils of the University such as, General Council, Executive Council and Academic Council of the University. So far as his Research contribution to the legal field is concerned, he was awarded with a Ph.D. degree in the field of Cyber Law by Symbiosis International University, Pune. He is also a Post-Doctorate Research Fellow in the field of Cyber Law, pursuing an advanced research course (LL.D.) in the field of Information Technology Law (Cyber Law). He has contributed more than 40 Journals to his credit in various National and International Journals in Legal and allied field. He worked on various Research Projects in diverse fields of law. Being a regular Teaching Faculty of the University, he is currently guiding / supervising various Ph.D. Scholars (Research Scholars) in the University enrolled for the Ph.D. course in the University. He has also guided more than 60 Dissertations of LLM students in the institutions where he worked. He also rendering his research skills to UG students as well being a part of the Research and Development Cell, established in the University as per the UGC Regulations.

He has been into the Teaching field (Academics) since last than 15 years and has served many institutions of national repute, including National Law Universities. His areas of interest are Cyber Law, Intellectual Property Law, Family Law, Jurisprudence & Legal Theory, Law and Women and Law and Technology. He was also into various administrative positions of the University, such as acting Registrar, Chief Warden, Proctor, Nodal Officer of the University, Asstt. Controller of Examination, Warden, Chairpersons and Conveners of various Committees, Cells, Departments etc., etc. in additional to regular Teaching workload. Currently, he is also Nodal Officer of the Pro Bono Club Scheme of the Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India and Legal Aid Clinic established by the State Legal Services Authority. He has demonstrated his Executive and Administrative skills through these works in the Institutions where he served in addition to his regular teaching responsibilities. He is also running Centres in the University as Chairperson, such as Centre for Gender Justice, Centre for Law, Innovation and Technology.

Further, he is regular invitee by various Statutory Bodies, Commissions and Departments of the Government such as National Commission on Women (NCW), New Delhi and has rendered his key recommendations in the process of reformation of various Laws relating to women in several Consultation Programmes. Furthermore, he was also invited by Parliamentary Standing Committee on Personnel, Public Grievances, Law and Justice, Maharashtra State Commission on Women, Ministry of Law and Justice, Bureau of Police Research & Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India for several consultation and related programmes about review of laws, UGC Human Resource Development Centre, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), District and Sessions Court, Superintendent of Police (S.P.) of Nanded district etc. He has provided extensive trainings to the several important and key office bearers from across the world such as Judicial Officers, Attorneys and Judges from Nepal, Judicial Officers and Judges from Bhutan, under the aegis of Indian Council for Technical and Economic Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of India, Training to the Members of the Consumer Commission under the aegis of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, FSSAI, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, these programmes being collaboration with various National Law Universities in India. He was invited by many Governmental, Semi-Governmental, Non-Governmental Agencies, various National Law Universities and leading Law Schools as an Expert in the field of Law for various assignment such as Resource Person, Chief Guest, Guest of Honour Expert invitee, Guest speaker, Judge in several National level Moot Court Competition and as Panelist in several national and international academic programmes across the country.

Besides that, he has more than 45 Publications to his credit in the form of Research Papers andArticles in several reputed National and International Journals and Books.

He is also guiding as a Supervisor / Guide to 6 Ph.D. Research Scholars. He has guided more than 60 Dissertations of LLM candidates in various National Law Universities / Law Schools he worked.

RESEARCH:

In addition to his Ph.D. in Cyber Law and guidance to Ph.D. Candidates as a Supervisor, he has published Research Papers and Articles in several reputed National and International Journals and Books. Further he has published a Book (ed.) titled, ‘The Contours of Personal Law – Religious Practices, Family Law and Uniform Civil Code, by LexisNexis Publisher. He has also conducted various Research Studies and Projects in various collaboration with reputed Law Schools and NLUs in the country.
